ZFM NORTHERN CAPE

ZFM TRAINING PROGRAMME (2023)

The project will be initiated in this district at the start of the year.

The first group of Grade R teachers (n=50) will be invited to participate in the project. The majority of teachers will be drawn from schools within the Upington area.

Two ECD officials will also be involved in the training and support phases of the project.

The teachers will attend 6 training sessions over the year and will receive follow-up support visits immediately after the training sessions - see the training & support programme below.

Volunteer mentors will also be recruited in the district to provide additional support to the teachers with the implementation of the BCP.

Now I can help the learners from our poorer areas to verbalize for themselves…  they are becoming more confident and starting to love their educational journey.

Metro Central (2013); Training

I have never been to such a training. I was motivated and I can't wait to implement at the ECD and I hope I'll be doing my best!

Northern Cape Project (Phase 2, 2020-2021): Training Feedback

This is an excellent programme that can benefit any learner or educator.

Metro Central (2013): Training
Metro Central Education District

Ek waardeer alles wat Dr Louis ons geleer het. Daar is soveel dinge wat ek nie geweet het nie, bv. hoe om ons kinders te help leer. You are a star, thank you for your time.

Pixley Kaseme: Training Sessions 1+2

Very informative. Well planned. Well organised. Based on CAPS. Good intervention programme.

Metro Central Training: WCED (February, 2015)

‘All foundation phase educators, esp. Grade R, should attend this workshop. If everyone in the education system uses this BCP model, we should see remarkable improvements in the learners' LIT/NUM over a couple of years.’ (Metro North, 2009)
