For decades, the Piagetian view led us to believe that young children are not yet capable of thinking that they must wait for their minds to “mature.”

But Vygotsky  and years of experience in classrooms show us something different.

Children develop when they are guided to think, reason, and see from others’ perspectives.

At the Basic Concepts Foundation, we don’t wait for development we help create it.
