Northern Cape Project: Feedback from BCP roll-out (Phase 1)

Introduction: -

The roll-out of the Basic Concepts Programme (BCP) has commenced in 4 out of 5 districts, engaging 98 teachers and 9 district officials. The fifth district will initiate its training on the 21+22 August.

Feedback from these initial training sessions (held from 15.07.24 to 30.07.24) was collected through a Google form. Click here for more details about the training sessions in the districts.

Follow-up visits to the schools involved in the training sessions were conducted immediately after the sessions to assist with the initial implementation of the BCP.

Feedback from training sessions: -

We received teacher feedback from 66% of the teachers who attended the above training sessions.

The teachers' ratings of the training sessions were very positive. 98% of the teachers rated the training session in their districts as either excellent or very good, with only one teacher rating the programme average.

Overall interest in the Basic Concepts Programme after the two afternoon introductory sessions was excellent. 98% of the teachers indicated that they were either highly or very highly interested in the programme, with only one teacher rating her experience as average.
