Feuerstein’s Instrumental Enrichment - Basic is the newest educational application of Feuerstein’s cognitive development programs. Like its predecessors, the FIE-B programs consist for the most part of structured paper-and-pencil exercises. This program enables educators to enhance cognitive functions, facilitate the development of social emotional awareness, and teach basic concepts. The effective implementation of the program requires teacher training. FIE Basic has so far shown significant effects in accelerating the development of young children’s, preventing proliferation of learning disabilities, and creating and enhancing cognitive development. This session will introduce the program, engage participants in hands-on experiences with it, and present research on its effectiveness.
