Durbanville Schools Foundation: End-line Testing (2025)
Part of the Project
End-Line Testing
To assess the impact of our intervention, a sample of learners was randomly selected from each school, ensuring gender balance with five boys and five girls per school.
Baseline assessments were conducted at the beginning of the project in 2024 to measure school preparedness, followed by an endline assessment in 2025 to track progress and overall improvement.
The findings provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of targeted early learning interventions in the 4 project schools.
School preparedness improved significantly, rising from an average of 42.5% at baseline to 72.5% at end-line, indicating substantial gains in learner readiness.
The results show significant improvements in school preparedness across all four project schools, with Attie van Wyk and Trevor Manual making the greatest gains.
While no schools initially met the 18-point benchmark at baseline, all have now surpassed this level, highlighting the positive impact of the intervention on learners' readiness for school.
