Social Media Post #121: Cognitive Tools of the BCP
Thinking doesn’t just happen — it’s built.
In the Basic Concepts Programme (BCP), every domain—Colour, Shape, Size, Position—does more than teach vocabulary. Each one lays down cognitive tools like attention, comparison, classification, seriation, perspective taking, and conservation.
These tools are the real building blocks of learning. They create the pathway that makes understanding Number and Letter possible, and in turn, unlocks literacy, numeracy, and lifelong learning.
At BCF, we believe that when children are given the tools to think, they are given the power to learn.
Did you know? Cognitive tools are the real foundations of education.
