Meet Michele Lothian! Trained in the Basic Concepts Programme in 2002, Michele has dedicated over 20 years to supporting Learning Support Teachers as a Learning Support Advisor with the Western Cape Education Department.

Today, she brings her expertise as a BCP mediator, working with 4 Focus schools in Fish Hoek and Ocean View, Cape Town.

Her goal? To see all Foundation Phase teachers equipped to implement the Basic Concepts Programme, helping learners develop essential language and thinking skills while enhancing teachers’ mediation abilities.
