Support Visits Start: February 2015
On 2 and 5 February Louis Benjamin and Diane Goldsmith began mentoring the Grade R,1,2 and 3 teachers at Floreat Primary in Steenberg.
As this was the first support visit the mentors modelled the programme for the teachers and encouraged them to start or continue their intervention sessions. The teachers were positive and enthusiastic and a number of them co-mediated sessions with the mentors.
The school principal and HOD of Foundation Phase have shown a keen interest in the project and were also present.
All of this bodes well for the future of the project at Floreat.
