BCP Expo 2013 - Event News | Basic Concepts Unlimited

43 delegates attended the first BCP Expo Day on 24 August 2013 at the Cape Town Science Centre.

The event was hosted by ORT SA-CAPE and opened by its director, Dr Lydia Abel, herself a cognitive educationist. Les Osler of Hantam Community Education Trust and Dr Louis Benjamin also addressed the group. A balanced programme of presentations, small group interactive sessions and a panel discussion focussed on establishing effective support networks for mediators of the BCP. A 'What's App' group called BCP Group has been set up and is already in use (send your cell phone number to join). SupportNet, a support group meeting open to all mediators of the programme will be held bimonthly at the Cape Town Science Centre. A further support will be the Practitioner Zone on the website which is currently in development.
