Durbanville Schools Foundation: Training Sessions for Colour (January 2024)

Training Sessions: Colour

The first set of training sessions is scheduled at the start of the 1st term.

The teachers will be exposed to the BCP and shown how to start to mediate the first conceptual domains.

They will be supported inside their classes with the implementation of the programme after the training sessions.

 

Details of the first set of training sessions:-

Date: 30th + 31st Jan 2024

Time: 14:00- 16:00

Venue: Alpha Primary School, Durbanville

 

Findings from the first training sessions:-

Attendance at session 1a: 91% (22 out of 24)

Attendance at session 1b: 96% (23 out of 24)


There was a high to very high interest in the BCP shown by all the new project teachers.

Feedback from Support Visits:

Following the training sessions on February 1st and 2nd, all schools underwent prompt support visits.

The BCF team successfully finalized negotiations for the BCP implementation schedule at each school, ensuring a customized approach aligned with their distinct circumstances.

We are gratified by the motivation and enthusiasm exhibited by the new project teachers, along with the commendable support from the schools' leadership.
