Pixley Kaseme: Mid-term Evaluation Report, Impact Consulting (2009)

Two interesting observations made in the report:-

  1. Due to heavy workloads and numerous interventions, it is not unusual that new educational projects are often met with resistance, but most teachers at the two outreach schools have seen the value of the BCP programme and are committed to implementing it in their classrooms. This is particularly evident in Lowryville when the majority of teachers felt sufficiently empowered to fight for the continuation of the BCP in their school ....

  2. Teacher development activities appear to be progressing satisfactorily towards meeting its anticipated outcome. Various sources of evidence show that the teachers’ approach to teaching has changed and there seems to be a definite difference in how the children are learning.
