Results from the Test of Basic Concepts Knowledge
Grade 1 - 3 learners have been tested since the project started in 2014 when the baseline data was gathered.
There has been a dramatic improvement in the test results since the baseline data was collected. Only 8% of all project learners were regarded as school ready.
After the first year of intervention (2015) there was a 25% increase in the number of school ready learners. 33% of all learners were school ready.
After the second year of intervention (2016) there was a 7% increase in the number of school ready learners. 40% of all learners were school ready.
After the third year of intervention (2017) there was a further 10% increase in the number of school ready learners. 50% of all learners were school ready.
