Kamiesberg Project: Visits To The Project (2006-2009)

The start of the project was daunting, particulary the introduction of a new teaching approach into these multi-grade classes. However, by the second year most teachers had begun to respond positively and the testing results had also begun to reflect positive changes, particulary when learners were compared to those from the control schools in nearby villages. The success of the project was in large part due to the committed, co-operative involvement of the district's Department of Education in the project.

The project reports below reflect the details of the process of this four year intervention project - comments about specific teachers have been removed from the reports.
