Namaqua Education District (Phase 2): Fourth Visit to the Project, February 2017

Support Visit to Project Schools in 2017

This was the first of three visits to the project in 2017, the final year of the project.

The main purpose of this visit was to continue with the mentoring of the teachers in the field. The teachers were visited by the project leader and officials from the Namaqua District.

The officials from Northern Cape Department of Education were unfortunately not able to accompany us on this visit because of a financial moratorium in the province.

Teachers were expected to demonstrate the following at the visit:-

• Grouping of all learners into small groups
  

• A register for each of the learner groupings

• A Basic Concepts Workbook for each learner

•  A new word-wall in the classroom with the conceptual language of Colour
