Focus of Visit 1

The visit aims to extend the scope of the project for the teachers from working with a single group of learners to working with all learners in the classes.

The classes will be grouped according to the results of the recently administered 'Test of Basic Concepts Knowledge'.

The teacher will thereafter be guided to provide appropriate interventions to each of these learner groupings.

While the weaker grouping will require regular and intensive interventions (2-3 days per week), the stronger grouping will initially require consolidation and thereafter extention of their conceptual knowledge and FAL skill foundations.
