Hantam Trust: A follow up visit after 7 years (2014)

Basic Concepts Refresher

Louis Benjamin visited the the Trust to develop and extend the BCs approach in the Fundisana ECD Centre as well as to refresh, train and mentor teachers in the Foundation Phase.

During the visit he was also exposed to the Effective Parents' Programme that has been established to promote and enhance parent-child interactions using the basic concepts approach.

The findings exceeded all expectations. Seven years after the formal intervention ended the Basic Concepts and Language approach continues to thrive and extend further into the school and community.
